Protecting exterior wood in California
California has the strictest VOC rules in the country, so only the low-VOC TWP 1500 Series can ship here. The good news: 1500 comes in the same popular tones, and it is ideal for redwood and cedar decks that bake in the coastal and inland sun.
Which TWP can ship to California?
TWP 100 series is NOT VOC compliant in California. Use TWP 1500 series in California. If TWP 100 is ordered for a California address the order will be canceled with a $5 cancellation fee.
TWP 1500 is very close in color to TWP 100 and contains less VOCs, so you give up nothing in looks. For cedar shake roofs and shingle siding, TWP 200 is also compliant at 94%+ solids.
